Does anyone know a treatment system for cancer secondaries (on spinal column and lymphatic system) beginning with T? My consultant used a word, and said it's not chemotherapy; also injectible, no hair loss, just makes patient feel a bit dodgy.

Thank you tinkerbell, tonyav and Smowball. There's been a change of plan. Consultant has decided the secondaries on the spine will be tackled by radiotherapy before the operation. First session of radiotherapy this afternoon, to be followed by four further, treatments over 4 successive days.
Meantime, I have had another CT scan, and am the proud possessor of a tattoo on my abdomen in the form of a spot about the size of a lead pencil. This is so that I can be lined up exactly by laser beam for the radiotherapy to be targeted.
After the op. I shall undergo targeted therapy.
All the best Fred. I'm sure you're in very good hands. I'll be thinking of you.x
wishing you all the very best Fred..xx
Good luck with the radiotherapy (painless) today Fred :-) x
Fred, here's hoping for a quick and successful outcome.
My very best wishes to you Fred I hope all goes well over the next few days with the radiotherapy and beyond xx

Thanks, folks. I'm trying to remain positive. The hospital staff have been wonderful. We have every reason to be proud of the NHS, despite all the negative publicity it receives in some of the media. I've even been assigned a specialist nurse (Lisa) whom I can call at any (reasonable) time.
Fred, I wish you all the very best for the next few days' treatments & hope everything is as stress-free as possible for you.

I am fortunate in that the oncology centre at the hospital is less than a year old, in a spanking, new building with all the latest equipment. As a radiotherapy patient I also get a week's car parking for £1!
Thank you for your good wishes LiK.
Well, sounds like you have a great team there, best wishes for the radiotherapy - onward.x
My best wishes to you Fred I love your humour never give up positive thinking ..hope all goes well for you all the best m8
