Does anyone know a treatment system for cancer secondaries (on spinal column and lymphatic system) beginning with T? My consultant used a word, and said it's not chemotherapy; also injectible, no hair loss, just makes patient feel a bit dodgy.
Radiotherapy no problem, Patsy; bit uncomfortable now, much fatigued, and going to the loo a lot. They gave me some anti-nausea tablets to take. Probably have an early night. Next appointment 10.45 am tomorrow.
OK, Patsy. The second session. They gave me anti-nausea tablets to take 1/2 hour beforehand. Just lay there, absolutely still, stripped to the waist whilst the machine buzzed and groaned. All over in 10 minutes. Lovely radiographer lady gave me advice on Iboprufen and Paracetamol. I can take both for the pain, 2@3 times a day for both. Quote: "Don't try to be a hero. If it's painful, take some painkillers!" Thanks for your concern.
Yes, Anne, back Mon., Tues. and Wed., then probably another CT or MRI scan to see the effectiveness of the radiotherapy. Then a new date for the op, hopefully.
mamya - I have already taken that advice. The medics know best.
