For the last few weeks, my elbows have begun to ache during the latter part of the day. By the time I go to bed they are really uncomfortable and I find it difficult to get to sleep. Is there a 'resting' position for my arms which will alleviate the discomfort? Straight arms? Crooked arms? Fully bent arms? Which position will be the optimum, no stress position? None of them seem to help.
I am going to follow your post, with interest Tilly. I have dreadful pain in my left elbow which is caused by the tendons in my left hand being very tight & one finger on that hand hasn't been straight for over 3 years. I bought an elasticated support especially for elbow use & it most certainly has helped. Ibuprofen would help if you are tolerant of it. Sadly, I can't take it but do use the stuff containing this to rub in. All the best. Pat
Well lets hope that someone comes up with some kind of answer, TLG.
I do suspect that mine is arthritis related. My Dad reckons it's because I have spent years resting my elbows on the desk at school, glaring at children!
Try different resting positions until you find the most comfortable one. Other than that I think you need to have a chat with your doctor Tilly, must be lowering for you at times. I would think heat would help.
