Able And Mentally Able

I now feel able to mentally and able to work from home ie copy typing, thesis anything really.

After dealing with Maxie, his walks etc I am left with time on my hands. I am fed up TV and would like to do something productive.

I have already left my name in a few volunteer supports and I have had no feedback so now I may as well earn something whilst I sit here.

I have looked at some sites and after much filling in forms and that - when they have "accepted" you - they want MONEY off you. Any help. Thanks

I don't know how many students need their thesis typing these days as they tend to do it themselves however if you live near to a university/college you could pin a notice on the student notice board (or several), maybe those notices you can pull a number off the bottom. That may well bring you some business. Make sure you price it right and be careful of those that leave their work untill the last minute. Simlarly on the noticeboard of your local library. Again ensure you have priced for the number of words before you advertise.

thanks MallyJ - I am near a college right enough - but since it is been a while since I typed - and it was for a Professor who paid you AFTER the job was done. And I mean it took a year for the job to be done.

PS - the year to be done wasn't my fault - he hmmmd and hahhaed throughout the year and changed everything around so much it was a year before we finally it constructed.

I think looking on it Cailin - I would rather be at home. I have now printed several notices - quite a number of them and maybe next Monday will try and get to some colleges - I guess - would you have to leave them at the receptionists and hope they will pin them up for you. Thanks

I would be tempted to ensure my typing skills were up to a good speed before embarking on this...I can't imagine most people needing typing to be done will want it to take a year. Invigilating exams is a good idea.. apply to the exams officer at local schools or colleges. You will need a crb check done but they should do it for you if they want you. The wage for invigilating exams is set but the typing you woud have to find what the going rate is...and maybe be a bit cheaper until you have built up a good reputation. Worth seeing what is out there. You don't have to take all typing jobs so you could say you were fully booked if it seemed too difficult a task!!

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Mally - please read the post - it was the guy writing the novel that took so much time. Not me. As soon as it was written by him - it was written and rewritten and typed within days. -Then he changed his mind AGAIN. To be honest I used to get frustrated waiting on the money BUT I was doing a friend who was Ill a favour. In the end you'll not believe it but because the job was long for him and me and the friend (the friend asked me to reduce the job by £200) so of course I did.

I had my thesis typed but that was 45 years ago. I can't imagine any one needs typing now with word processors on every computer and even mobile phones.
Have you thought about volunteering at a charity shop? They are always looking for staff !

"exixtance" "theses" is a plural word in itself. LOL

Murrymints has it, All Theses are submitted via electronic mail now, not typed at all.

well as i am not writing a thesis or offering my services for copy typing, my ability for spelling and grammar are not in question. Thanks so much for making me feel great about myself though!
