i look at this man,so sad, brilliant, genius, lovely heart in every way , family loved him , he all the money in the world, he had everything but still didnt survive this life. heart goes out to such a lovely person.
sitting here i am feeling what does it take to be happy / content.
if he couldnt cope how can i ?
BTW, i never touch drugs ( yrs ago in my teens ) i work hard, i care about people and put people before me , i have problems yes but i feel so depressed at what life has thrown at me.

Look around at the little, good things, the spears of snowdrops beginning to appear above the earth for example. Go for walks, meet and talk to people and listen to their stories. Try volunteering for a cause you can identify with. In other words, it is something to do with stepping outside your own circle of problems and maybe helping someone with theirs.
A elderly lady died at 10.20 last night. She was amongst the little group for whom we sang carols at the Nursing Home just before Xmas. She had some sherry and a mince pie and joined in the singing very happily. Lovely lady, had a nice chat with her, and it is good to feel that I helped to give her a very happy time. Many organisations which try to help the homeless need help themselves - one to think about.
It's all I can suggest. Meditation may well help, but not if you dwell on the miseries.
