it has started to hit me re what happened and one thing i do remember when after accident they placed me on a chair waiting for ambulance - i had the most glorious feeling - i wanted to leave truly i wanted to leave. after feigning laughter and happiness this past 3 weeks i still want to go - why not -

i am so low - i know i could have been more badly injured - in a wheelchair - etc - and now maxie won't stop barking at cats - has been barking at cats for a year now and has got me into trouble with neighbours.

when i think of him such an intimidatedated frightened wee dog when i got him - what did i do wrong.

i know it's a mortal sin - but sometimes i get tired living and pretending to be happy
As far as maxie goes its not unusual for dogs to bark at cats! My dogs live with cats but if they see a cat outside they will still bark.
It's delayed shock JJ , very common after an accident - it will pass but seek help if you are having morbid thoughts.
TBH all the time I have been on here you have never sounded happy.
That sounds harsh but you always seem to be wanting, perhaps you are depressed and need to go to the doctors.

wanting what islay
Question Author
i know i am suffering from very deep depression but doctors don't want to know - they just give me pills which i don't take
The pills are the first step if you don't take the pills then how do you expect to move onto the next step?
I agree with Islay, there has always been an air of discontentment and disappointment with your lot in life.

However dismissive as you are of the medical profession, I do think going down that route would do you know harm and point you in the right direction for help and guidance.
take the anti depressants, they can help.

my my my - how did i know eccles would come after islay - now i am waiting for ummmm's opinion

anti-depressants were not good for my mother
Jenny go and see the doctor and take the anti depressants, I do every single day.

They do help.
You can't post and not expect honesty!
How long ago was your mother treated? Medicine has moved on! But if you know best what else can be said!
Question Author
thanks mamy for your advice - once i am mobile i will be ok -
You aren't your Mother and ADs have moved on , if not ask for talking therapy.
That was unnecessary JJ.

You take a very stubborn and obstinate view of the medical profession, treating them almost to the point of disdain.

If you know better keep on doing as you've kept on doing, but don't be surprised when you don't see any light at the end of the tunnel.

You need to to help others to help you, reaching out is the first step.
"Anti-depressants were not good for my mother" I would imagine that SSRIs were not available then. They are available now and I don't think you should suffer - go to the doctor
perhaps you need to look at counselling/cbt if you are wary of anti-depressants.

Re the "honesty" comments, I fail to see the point of kicking someone when they are down.
