Thats happened to me - the seller was offering free click and collect which was a lot better than the postage rate on offer - but it wouldn't accept my local Argos!

Check that there are no postage restrictions on the item for your area.

You could contact the seller and ask them. I just used a different seller!

I think it is only certain Argos stores that are part of the scheme.

My Argos does take ebay deliveries.

Have you tried Amazon - sometime same seller is there (and cost and delivery options ca be different!)
