can anyone suggest a spray to use to protect my hair when using hair straighteners that WON'T make my hair greasy.

If your hair is going greasy then maybe you're using too much.  If the product has serum in then you'll only need to use a very small amount. 

Other than that Treseme and Lee Stafford both do sprays for use with straighteners that I found are easy to use and don't add weight.

do they sell these in supermarkets? i live in a small town where the hairdressers generally do not sell "up-to-date" products. p.s. are these uk?

Lee Stafford is available in Boots, Treseme is available in most places so your supermarket may stock it.  Boots do an internet service, so you can order on-line if you're finding things difficult to get nearby.

thanks i have used tresemme shampoos before which are available at the supermarket, so i will have a look there.
