Sqad; I tripped and fell landing on my chest onto a wooden bedpost last week, pain excruciating! Ambulanced to local hospital, x-rayed and ultra sounded, rib displaced but not broken and "lucky spleen not damaged".
Pain is still very bad and yet I should be driving to France tomorrow and on to England Thursday, but have conceded this morning that it would be stupid, so trying to unbook hotels, tunnel crossing and various appointments.
My question is, from experience how long do you thing I might be in pain before it starts to heal?

Lots of sympathy - broke a rib a couple of weeks ago. Pain is severe at first. 2 weeks later it is a lot easier and I can sleep, drive and carry my handbag. I would think you might be quicker, but muscles are tricky and the intercostals are hard to massage etc. Good luck. :)
