The reason I ask, is I have had four urine infections, in the past three months.
When the antibiotics have finished, and its cleared, it starts all over again, about two weeks later, then its back to the antibiotics.

I had a bladder scan about a month ago, and they discovered, my bladder was not emptying all of the urine, after a pee.
I now have an appointment to go to see a urologist, where they insert a camera through the penis, to have a loo, if everything is ok, which I have had before, about 18m/2 yrs ago. (ouch)

Its painful to pee, the urine is cloudy & it has an unpleasant smell.
I have to rule out why I am peeing every 20 minutes, as I am taking water tablets, for swollen ankles.

Just thought I would share my thoughts, to see what you think.

Your symptoms could indicate many things and of course we often think the worst - far better to get through the tests (ouch) and ask as many questions of those treating you as possible.

longer/stronger course of antibugs maybe? just to make sure all infection has bugled off.

Yes, please don't think the worst.

I contracted a urine infection from a cystoscope (yes, ouch) and it took some time to get rid of. In the end it was a long dose of cranberry supplements that did the trick. The idea being to keep the urine acidic so it is an environment that the bacteria can't thrive in.

Yes......you might, but it is not the first thing that comes to mind.
My money is on an enlarged prostate.........benign rater than malignant.

Not that sqad needs any support, but I was going to say the same. OH's symptoms were the same and resection sorted it - his bladder was near to exploding!
