Are There Any Studies In To The Affects Of Taking Too Many Photos Of Children?
32 Answers
As a grandmother, I do like to take pics of her, she's a very pretty child. But is there any harm psychologically? I don't want her when she grows up mimicking this trout pout trend in the camera lense. May be I'm over thinking things? Anyone know of any studies done regards this?

Just a few years ago if you wanted a 'selfie' or other photo you bought a film , put it in your camera and when the film was used , took it to the photo shop or chemist to get it developed. A film cost £2 or £3 for 24 pictures then it took a week and cost £5 to £6 to get it developed.
Now you can take 100s of photos on your mobile phone and send them all over the world via Facebook or Twitter and it's instant as well as free!

My parents made such a song and dance about the expense of photographic film in the seventies that during 6 years of uni I took 4 photos.

Alba she's turned 3 . This was the reason I started taking pics in the first place, a record for when she's older. Our generation don't have that, or very little.
Peter, reading your link, I can kind of understand to a degree taking shots of just her might give her a sense of importance, she does often say she's the queen LOL! She has taken videos and shots of herself pulling different faces, though not preening. I can't ever imagine taking pics will ever make her feeling self conscious, she just isn't, she's a very confident child.
Eddie, yes as I said earlier, our generation have little photographic documentation which is a shame really.
