My daughter's fiancé has just been into hospital for examination of bowels. Two polyps were found and the one has been sent off for biopsy. He's 32. We are a bit worried about it. He's had a lot of stomach trouble for last few months, diahrrea in particular. If you are reading this sqad, should we be worried?

I recently had a colonoscopy for the same reason.I had a polyp removed and the results were negative for bowel cancer. It is a difficult thing to go through but I think it is important to remain positive. If anything is wrong, the earlier you find out the more can be done.I wish him all the best.
An excellent site posted by Chris, very user friendly,
Aged 32.....bowel polyps, extremely unlikely to be cancerous.
One should never say never, but my month's pay would be on them being benign (non malignant)
No, you shouldn't be worried.

Thanks everyone. Very helpful. Buenchico very informative site. Good of you to find it. Sqad, that's what I was thinking, 32 is young for anything sinister. Thank you for your prompt reply. I shall keep you updated. :-)
A friend of mine has survived for very many years since his polyps were removed. He has annual checks to see that he has not developed any new ones. He is now well into his 70's.
