I'm not sure if its just me, thinks this way, but does it really matter how many people come to your funeral, the deceased is not going to know a lot about how many people are there.

hc, what size of cotton winding sheet does one need for a 6' 8'' cuddlyone?
I still have my Mum's ashes which will be mixed together with mine and made into in the biggest firework possible. We'll go out in a blaze of glory while everybody has a party!
Hc I won't know what I'll be buried in and don't particularly care I'll be dead.
Lol @Albs a big sheet x
Aww you're not that bad Bernie :-)
Mamya, he is, but he's awfy cute with it tho :-)
A super kingsize duvet cover should do it, alba :)
I won't be bothered because I'll be dead, but while I'm alive I like to think a few people at least will turn up. I don't know many people very well, so the place won't be packed.
Depends on what you believe happens at one's death. One can argue that nothing really matters, nothing really matters at all.

In any case those left behind would like to think that their loved one wasn't unpopular and ignored.
lol hc, I've got a few of them :-)

Trouble is, we can't plant him standing up.......
Is the garden only 3' square?
albs an hc i wont let you two inter me
We'll make sure you're dead first, bernie
My parents had "proper funerals" because it was what they wanted...got to say I hated both of them. When DH died it was just me and my sisters alone.(his Mum predeceased him and his stepfather wasn't up to travelling) and nobody else.....amazing how shocked his work colleagues were who expected a big service and catered event, but his friends absolutely understood.
All I've ever done when arranging funerals is made those who I thought would like to know the arrangements aware of them, never any pressure to attend.

As for mine, I'll leave that to my imagination, not really bothered.
hc, that'd take the fun out of it tho. :-)

sorry Cuddlyone xx

When Dad died, I was quite heavily pregnant but the number who came to pay their respects meant a lot to me. (a few hundred)
None of this will effect me - when you read obits and are told of those who have died they all sound like candidates for sainthood. That's not me.

I'm not having a funeral, if the medical research people don't want me it will be a cremation without a service. I am not sure what little brother will do with my ashes, we put my dad in Loch Earn.

The important thing is that I have left him my two cats to look after. He said that he will "take care" of them.

Well I like when my family gets together for a bit of a do and I'm not going to deprive them of one.....so I expect a large turnout.....and wearing black...not in mourning but just because I love black....

Lots of my music and Irish folk from the family......a couple of songs from musicals by my luvvie friends...

Better have some food to go with the wine and Guinness as they tell stories and share Gness memories....

Then into the green field just outside town....bliss ......except I'll miss it but hey ho....... :-)

When my time comes, hopefully not for a while yet, I've have left instructions in place that I have a back-door cremation, no fuss, no bother, I've even left a Tenner behind the bar in my Local so my Mourner can have a Pint ;o)
will there be enough for a sausage roll too Balders ? ;0) xx
