Being Around Someone On Chemotherapy Whilst You've Got A Cold.
10 Answers
we are due to spend most of the weekend at a friends house who is currently having chemotherapy this weekend but my husband has had symptoms of a mild cold for the last 2-3 days. Is it best for us to stay away?
I've asked my friend and he said not to worry about him and to come anyway but I would feel awful if he became poorly . He is due to have his 4th round of treatment today and it's making him feel gradually worse everytime anyway. :(
My husband is still keen to go as he wants to get a major DIY job done for them so I feel like I need to make the decision.

On no account should anyone with symptoms of a cold or virus come anywhere near you. My immune system was rock bottom and I could have caught anything, which obviously is very serious in these circumstances. Also, if I did catch something, then my chemotherapy would not be given. It was a while back now, but I do know I had to miss Christmas with friends because one of them had a cold. Good luck to your friend with her treatment.
