Not sure where to put this but here goes, on the show the other day they said that the entire body, more or less is replaced at different speeds, the skeleton taking the longest at 10 years. So how do tattoos not simply fade away?

Ink not replacable ? They do blur though.

Tattoos actually stay sharp, it's the eyesight that goes. :)

I can never understand why anyone would want them.

My dads faded. You'd never even know what it was in the end unless it was pointed out.

The ink is much better nowadays but harder to remove I believe.

I haven't opened mamy's links so if I just reiterate what they have said......just ignore my post.

The body cells are replaced by REGENERATION.
Tattoos remain by INFLAMMATION.
The two responses are DIFFERENT.
The body regards the ink as a foreign body, the inflammatory process is involved and hence the tattoos remain engulfed in inflammatory cells....forever.
