I have a large tube of Arnica gel, of which I've used about half. I've just noticed it's developed a tiny hole in the side and is leaking. If I squeeze it into a jar or other airtight container, will it be ok?

Cover the hole with a plaster or tape pasta ?

I thought of that. It would need to be something sterile obviously.
