I recently had successful radiotherapy treatment for prostrate cancer but have failed two visits to the TWOC clinic. My latest PSA reading is 0.487. My consultant has recently carried out a CYSTOSCOPY and found that my prostrate is mildly enlarged.

I have a catheter inserted at the moment with a FLIPFLO valve and I use a night bag.

My consultant has recommended GREEN LASER TREATMENT and my question is if this was unsuccessful and I ended up being incontinent would I be able to revert to a permanent catheter.

At 82 years old I think I could live with this!!

Any help in making the right decision would be very much appreciated

Ta Lynne, never heard of it.
Green laser treatment is an attractive prospect when considered that the alternative is TUP ( endoscopic surgery)
If it failed, yes, you would have the option of a permanent catheter, or indeed a TUR if necessary.
