Do you think young woman today seem quicker to jump into bed with men on first meeting, than years ago or is it more out in the open these days.

As an apprentice my kecks were always ripped because they were worn out by my job. Mum patched them textile scars of physical labour!
Now some hard up *** walks around in rangy kecks and all and sundry think it's cool?

I think it's more usual for groups of young people to be friends buto to have all slept with each other at some point. I presume you are talking of women rather than a partitular wOman?

Thats whats made me ask Tilly I know a young Mother of 2 lives local to me who's getting quite a reputation for going out on a saturday night and getting with the first man thats pays her any attention, just wondered if this is the norm with SOME young woman nowadays.

There have always been people who behave like that. You can't judge a whole generation by her behaviour.

I think there have always been some women like that. I don't think there's a general trend of it increasing.

No, some were just as quick years ago.

I'd have thought probably less so tbh, but it depends on the person obviously. There is certainly nothing wrong with recreational sex but your friend sounds like she's suffering from low esteem and thus trying to deal with that by proving to herself she's attractive by going with anyone who pays her attention which will only exacerbate her feeling of insecurity long term. The two I think ought not to be confused with people who just enjoy recreational sex for what it is which is entirely different and perfectly fine.

If it does, then this wasn't the definition of recreational sex in the 50's which was all about foreplay....kissing, breast caressing etc without intercorse which was risky as for the social stigma and lack of suitable and reliable contraceptives.

Yes Fruitsalad, I think they do.

Years ago women of our mother/grandmothers age waited till they were married, they usually stayed married so most slept with one man their whole lives.

These days hardly anyone waits for marriage or has one partner for life.

I've not found it so. Difficult to convince any young woman these days. Usually takes me all night.
