Very Confused But Suffering

Hi ABers, Not looking for sympathy, or a cure, but just sounding off and just want to scream out.
Lots of problems all crowding in at once, and the result is my head is not or never quiet.
I just want to sleep in some kind of oblivion, but this has gotten worse over the last three days.
I am definitely NOT suicidal, but so confused and sad and suffering.
There! I've said it. Don't know what to do.
Don't expect anything helpful.
Just rather selfishly sounding off about my problems, when there are people out there who really do need help and advice.
I wish I could break down and cry, I am so mixed up.
So sorry to be a prat.

Theland, I'm sorry you're low in mood and can't get your head straight. Most of us have been there at some point in our lives.

Exercise helps and when I've experienced grief, loss, anxiety and other scary emotions, I found brisk walking helped me gain clarity.

You cannot always just heal yourself emotionally, but you can take care of your physical health. Eating healthily, avoiding the bad stuff and getting exercise will give you a focus and will, believe it or not, help improve your mental wellbeing. Trust me, it works.

I hope you begin to feel better soon.
After years of depression and health problems I found one thing that helped and that was meditation, it can give you a little bit of head space, and when you get better at it you can take yourself away from pain as well. I agree with LCG looking after your physical self is really important. I know with the problems you have mentioned life can be difficult sometimes accepting that those difficulties are part of your life can help you let go of the distress they cause. Until you can do this you can't really appreciate anything good that remains.

Also come into the Good morning thread, if you can't sleep you might as well and some of the nicest people hang out there. Not sure why they let me join in

Good advice......that would certainly cure your insomnia.
Absolutely recommend the Good Morning thread. I had a massive wobble mentally and emotionally a couple of months ago and they were awesome. Meanwhile just try to compartmentalise your problems and tackle ones you can do something ab out one at a time. don't lump everything together til it all feels as though you'll never fight your way out. anything I can do to help just let me know, lways welcome to talk to me x

well, Sqad made me laugh, I don't know about Theland.
Sqad usually makes me laugh too.
I don`t know anything about your physical problems but I think you should go to see your GP. There also self-referral places you can go to that can help you with mental health issues. Most if not all Councils run them. They can perform an assessment to see if they can help you and it doesn't cost anything.

You seem to have been taken in by the idea that big strong men don't ever feel in need of help and can shrug and take anything. Really ain't like that, even if we're brought up having it implied. Break down and cry for a while; no need to tell anyone if you don't wish to.

Your problems, the ones getting to you, are they identifiable, or are they internal feelings ? The former are tacklable gradually, the latter may need counselling.
