Brain Fog??
8 Answers
The past couple of weeks I have been literally forgetting my words during conversation- but this isn't the weirdest thing. Rather than a pause whilst I try and find the word, my brain chooses another word which is similar but wrong. I have been doing a new diet at the same diet (5:3) which may have made me a bit wibbly, but it's still worrying when I don't seem to have the right words. Yesterday I said "I have an awful face" instead of "I have an awful name for faces"- words getting mixed round the wrong way. I'm 48- could it be hormonal?

Changing hormones can also be a factor and I would hazard a guess that it is multi-factorial.
You're a little bit young for dementia, but just monitor the situation. If you got lost whilst driving home or suddenly thought about paying a visit to an aunt who died a few years ago, that's the time to worry :)
