My Eyesight Goes

A couple of times the past week the bottom half of my left eye has lost sight. Just for a few minutes its a grey white blur. I am making an appointment to see the Doctor first thing in the morning. What can be doing this? I am 74 and have had type one diabetes for over 40yrs.

He'll probably refer you to the nearest eye unit for a check up Biccy, hope it soon gets sorted.

What have you been doing immediately before these episodes?

Many, many causes, most likely associated with your age.
As they are intermittent, then a serious (life threatening) cause is extremely unlikely.
Your GP will refer you as suggested by Mamya.

I'd suspect the concern was more likely to be about sight threatening than life threatening. But vision can go weird at times. Worth going to get things checked for peace of mind.

Thanks everyone, I talked to the heath centre first thing and they have got me a hospital appointment for Wednesday, so they are not hanging about thank heavens. anything going wrong with eyes is so frightening.
