Do You Think 1 Hour 30 Minutes Is Too Long For An After School Detention ?

I have just got home from an after school detention, it was DULL , BORING and MISREABLE, it lasted for 1 and a half hours, this does not allow for the 5 minutes to get to the detention room then for the detention teacher to take the register and give out the punishment essays, this means we got out of school 1 hour 45 minutes late, we had to sit at our desks in TOTAL silence and wright our essays, I had to wright an essay on the importance of behaving in class,

by the time I got home my evening was ruined, I got a lecture from my parents, and still had homework to do,
why cant we do homework in detention instead of poxy punishment essays ? then I would have some free time when I got home ?
