Do You Think 1 Hour 30 Minutes Is Too Long For An After School Detention ?

I have just got home from an after school detention, it was DULL , BORING and MISREABLE, it lasted for 1 and a half hours, this does not allow for the 5 minutes to get to the detention room then for the detention teacher to take the register and give out the punishment essays, this means we got out of school 1 hour 45 minutes late, we had to sit at our desks in TOTAL silence and wright our essays, I had to wright an essay on the importance of behaving in class,

Becky please don't whinge about nothing, some of us have real problems to deal with, in fact I'd go as far as to say everyone on here has more to worry about than you do, some people on here have awful things to worry about. Get a bit of perspective.

Issue is you can’t just not go cus they’ll ring your parents

I do think they should let you do homework in detention

I hope that you managed include in your essay, that it was important to behave in class in order to avoid a detention which would impinge upon your ability to complete your home work assignment on time.

That would have given the detention teacher something to think about!

Try to avoid another detention. 90 mintes could be used much more productively- in that time you could walk the streets of Salisbury, go past the Skripals' house, visit all the famous landmarks, take lots of photos then walk back to the station

Big becky .... you really are a bit daft ..... if all this madness is true you are blowing your chances of leaving schol with good exam results and a good school reference....these are things you may well need if you are to get a job that will not bore the knickers off you. Take it from me there are some dreadful jobs out there. Actually I think you are bright and possibly a bit of a leg puller but I am concerned you wont do yourself and your future any favours. Oddly enough I am concerned.

I've only just read this thread... I got as far as sanmac on page one before thinking about 'The breakfast club' a whole Saturday morning and afternoon that would've been a nightmare.
