Hi missterri..... my grandad was in hospital a few years ago and i was stuck for ideas, so every day i sent him a helium balloon with something funny on it, and i told him that he would get one every day until he was better...he got better really quickly..i think it was the array of balloons at the end of the bed, he couldnt see the window!!

Hope your nana makes a speedy recovery!! xx

Boots have got there xmas gifts out at the moment and they have got some really nice pamper sets. Lavender is supposed to soothe (my nan suffers from atheritus and she says it helps).

I think that whatever you send her will be a good 'pick me up' as she'll be chuffed that you're thinking of her :-)

Hope she gets better soon. xx

missterri what about making up a small box of odds & ends? As twonk says something that smells nice (body lotion for example), a book,(does she do puzzles or read?), a tiny teddy or cuddly, & do you have any funny photos of the family that you could put in? Just have a look around, you know her best & pop in anything, no matter how silly, that will make her smile. I sent my mum an envelope full of 'trivia' once & she thought it was hilarious!
