good haircut

Can anyone recommend a stylist in the Watford, Herts, area who can cut hair really well? I want to get my hair cut from long (below shoulder length) to a bob with a bit of interest, sleek and stylish, but nothing ultra funky. I am really not confident about getting it cut but want to take the plunge so I need to find someone who will listen and actually do what I want rather than what they want or think I want. Please let me know the salon, name of stylist and your comments. Many thanks!

there's a salon called d&J ambrose in Pinner, just down the road from watford. they are very good and really listen to you

ooh, good luck. I took the plunge last week, and I'm quite please with the results. I took in a piccy of myself with the hairdo I wanted - I did it in a virtual makeover, saved it to disc and then printed it off like a photograph. The site I used was ivillage.co.uk/beauty , at the left use the menu to go to the 'Virtual makeovers'. All you need is a piccy of yourself to upload into their software, and away you go.
