Good Thursday morning birdies xx off to get haircut this morning... already pouring so don't expect to get much else done other than domestic duties indoors...hope it's better where you are!
Morning all - looking grizzly here as well - 60 percent chance of the wet stuff up until about 2ish this afternoon. Working this morning, then a wee shop for lunch and probably a chicken to roast off for supper tonight and tomorrow, hence why I am up and about..
Morning minty xx same here,a bit soggy.will leave Benji in the dry and nip out for papers. Might take refuge in the local hostelry for lunch, always a welcome there and a nice doggy area with treats for the boy. Have a lovely day xx
the Covent Garden soup range is good ! I have my trusty soup maker, only takes 20 mins from tossing in the ingredients..it chops, cooks simmers and voila !!
come autumn, I make my own - I make my own stocks and store them in the freezer in different sized containers so they are 'pre-measured' for different dishes, main uses being soups and risottos - like this chicken will be executed at the end.
Think I have chicken, turkey, shellfish and duck available at the moment.
Didn't stop raining yesterday but did a shop on the way back from Falmouth.
In the evening I learnt that the neighbour of my youngest has been taken into hospital. Do hope it is nothing serious. She has been very depressed since her husband died earlier this year and has refused to go out.
I doesn't does it. I am quite concerned as I also used to pop in for a chat with her whenever I went to the village. She really liked the veg and fruit I gave her from the garden and I hope our chats cheered her a bit. Have been doing that for a fair number of years as i knew her before youngest moved into cottage. The only neighbour as cottage is next to graveyard. They are rather quiet and keep themselves to themselves..
