Never heard of this one before. I would say a coincidence but I am no doctor. I've been on loads of diets but never had this problem. Try changing your shoes and wash your feet everyday and put on clean socks. It depends on what sort of diet you are on. I have heard too many carrots make you look yellow. Are you eating strange smelling food that could come out of your feet. In fact garlic might do this. The smells comes out of your body if you eat too much of it. Just cut down on fats, chocolate, alcohol and cakes you will be amazed how fast it drops off.
