Missed Period

Hi Everyone, I am concerned regarding my missed period. I am 21 and 13 days late. I know this because I track my periods every month and I am usually on time. This morning I took a pregnancy test which showed negative. Based on when I last ovulated I think I should be around 4 weeks pregnant. I have sore nipples and have had cramping in my lower abdomen.

Has anyone else ever experienced this? Any ideas?

I'm probably doing the same now... but yes, I have been in your position and if I were you, I would wait and do another test. I wouldn't see a GP unless you believe there is a genuine problem. At the moment, your symptoms could be either premenstrual or early pregnancy, but time will make it clearer. In B&S, I don't think anything is particularly personal as it is...

See your GP.
Wait another week and repeat your test.
Not sure what more a GP could do?
Er, no, I don't believe any of the posters so far have ever experienced this.
(At least not in this lifetime.)
Do as Sqad says.
What a strange question to ask on an open forum. As suggested, see your GP.
Why is it a strange question, Maggiebee? Seems a perfectly reasonable question to me.
firstly, have you been having unprotected sex?
what brnd of PT are you using?
I do wonder what a gp would ‘do’ in this situation ?
Yeah...why a strange question? I'm sure her name is not 'ilovechocolate' in real life.
They'd do a pregnancy test, Anne.
So could the patient do her OWN pregnancy test in saving the GP his/her precious time.
Absolutely, there is no difference between what the doctor uses and over the counter.
Always surprised at just how much, what I consider very personal information, people are willing to share on this site. Maybe it's an age thing?
I agree with maggiebee, I learnt the hard way :/
It's B&S and she's talking about a late period, not her sex life!
I agree with ummmm...this is a Q&A site....and we all know about periods and menopause etc...vaginal discharge and problems of sexual natures......NORMAL

I find it difficult to understand the posts which say " See your GP"
Useless and unhelpful comments as the poster already appreciates that option.
It isn't personal information to me because I have no idea who she is in real life...she is worried and has come to a forum where she can stay anonymous..isn't that the whole point?
Many Abers seem to feel that they must contribute to every thread and rather than desisting, they use "see your BP" as a reason....or an excuse.
If one has something to contribute, then do so, but if you don't then just keep quiet.
Sqad - he who must be obeyed - has spoken. I bow down to your superior knowledge. However, until I have been told otherwise, this is an open forum and I am perfectly entitled to air my views, just as you, and many others, do on numerous occasions whether you have any knowledge of the subject or not.

In B&S, I don't think anything is particularly personal as it is part of a question and not just telling everyone for the sake of it. It's appropriate here.
Anyway, I wish you luck with whichever result you want xx
