The solicitor should know.

Accessing medical records. A request for information from health records has to be made with the organisation that holds the health records – the data controller. I found a good local solicitor for him.
(And I cant find his hospital on the NHS trust list lol....)
Oh it’s going to be a long day......
Which hospital is it?
Question Author
Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Kings Lynn, Norfolk
smow your son would have been given a discharge letter which would have hospital details on.
Your GP would also have been sent hospital notes electronically.
I am sure you visited son in hospital you can google name and town to get details.
As has been said earlier the solicitor or his secretary should being doing the leg work IMO he is just trying to save some money by asking you to do it.
smow what more details do you need?
I'm all for Smow's son getting the records himself. It's an easy process, just fill in the form I've linked to, and he will know that it's being dealt with.
If it saves money, that can only be a good thing.
It's not complicated and there is no legal expertise required.
hc4361 thats fine, apart from the fee the hospital requires.
Should be free within 40 days of the treatment, I think
hc4361 yes you are, I thought it was longer ago but it was 31st August this year so still some time left.
The forty days is the period they have in which to respond to the request.
Read the info at the top of the link, Tony. I can't copy and paste it.
Ignore that.
