Tying Hair Up For Sleeping - It Rips And Breaks Hair - Any Ideas?
24 Answers
I tie my long hair up on top of my head to sleep.
However ive found this sometimes breaks the hair off, presumably when im moving about on the pillow etc.
Ive tied it tight, loose, left the pony tail hanging down, tied in a ball, lower down, further forward etc
ive used a few diff types of band, and tied it in different places - anywhere other than on top of my head, makes it awkward to sleep on.
headbands just fall off or are too tight and annoying.
just finding nothing works as well as a simple band, fairly tightly on top of my head. :/
anyone got any ideas recommendations etc for how or what i can use to keep my hair up and off my face etc
such as a particular type of band, or headband, or even a hat lol
thanks :)

I always take out any type of hair accessory before sleep and would feel really strange sleeping with my hair tied up. I have thought about it in the very hot months, and once in a stiffling hot hotel room, managed a lose scrunchie and alice band, which stayed in long enough for me to get off to sleep but soon fell out!
Hello Joko.. you can get soft material hairbands, you see tv actors etc, wearing them when they get their make up done..that would hold your hair back off your face, and be comfy to sleep in I use one I got mine in Asda.. so I guess you can buy them anywhere !.. hope you get a good nights sleep! I have a pixie cut and it is no trouble at all. I think your best bet would be to wear an old fashioned ladies' hair net a la Ena Sharples.
