The pain is incredible and localised at the bottom left side of my head, the area is sore to touch and feels itchy, I had shingles along my right collarbone about 4 years ago and remembered how the pain could wake me up, it feels exactly like that so here I am at silly o clock having a cup of coffee and taking paracetamol hoping to quell the pain, last time I had this I was prescribed Amitriptyline but hated taking them so if I sound I’m feeling sorry for myself, I am, getting it once is bad but getting it twice !!
I’m at my GPs later this morning but that’s just to see a nurse practitioner for a yearly MOT, Bloods done etc, I’m 73 and don’t take any meds at all and enjoy good health but this is really getting me down

Had it about 8 years ago around my right eye and eyebrow. Extremely painful and can threaten your sight when it is near the eye.Had my vaccination yesterday and thought that was meant to stop a recurrence.
Obviously, it does not as you have already had the injection.
Best of luck. You have my sympathy. Very painful and debilitating.
Sounds very unpleasant. Good luck at doc's.
Let us know how you get on Bobbs.
Oh no,...That's horrible for you. Hope it's caught in time for antiviral tablets. I've had it twice, as has quite a few people, so not unusual. Best wishes. x
Had it a few months ago, still getting symptoms, prescribed Gabapentin for it which seems to help.
You have my sympathy, no pain is worse.

Update, Yes it’s Shingles again, got antiviril tablets which I’ve got to take 5 of a day for a week and Amitriptyline for when the pain gets too bad, I guess I’m just unlucky getting it twice in four years but I’m determined it won’t get me down, I’ll rule it rather than it ruling me
Aww sorry to hear that Bobbs, but you've got the right attitude there ..
Hope the Antivirals do the trick.
Hope you feel better soon Bobbs
