The hyoid bone in the throat.

Sorry- to complete the answer- it is surrounded my muscles & supports the base of the tongue.

( It is also the one that can often be indicative of strangulation, as apparently, this is one of the few ways to fracture the hyoid bone- often crops up in detective novels etc)

kneecap
Technically no bones in the human body are connected directly to one another. You have ligaments which run from bone to bone to support the joints in the body. You have cartilage in between bones and fluid in the the major joints to stop them rubbing together.

Gevs- while strictly speaking, you are correct, most people would accept that the meaning of "connected with" actually means "articulated to"

That still leaves the hyoid bone, which isn't articulated to any other bone.

Joko- the kneecap articulates with the femur
I know that scuba, I was just in a particularly pedantic mood this morning.
It's ok- that happens to me often too!!
