Is it possible for a Canadian resident to have an operation on the NHS?
My poor cousin, a British citizen living in Canada, has just been told she will need a third major operation in 18 months on her badly broken arm as the pieces have not knitted. She has been in considerable pain the whole time. But the available finances will not stretch to another operation.
So if she came here would she be able to be treated here? I don't know what the rules are.
Along the same lines, does anyone know what the comparative prices are for paid treatment in the UK and in Canada? Thsnkd for any help.
