dead skin

just to the left under my lip i have dead skin where no hair grows(you can feel the difference as the skin feels very soft)-so i cant keep a goatee beard- but what caused this patch of dead skin?

Not being a man, so cant comment on your beard Tali, But I once had alopecia on my scalp and that too left the patch feeling very soft and hair free. Not sure if you can get alopecia on your face. But as it affects the hair folicles I thought it could be that. Sorry if its not much help.

Or maybe it's scar tissue. Did u ever burn or hurt yourself there? does it tan in the sun ?

Yes sounds like scar tissue to me. Nothing will grow over that.
