That should read OXIMETER.
Our Breathe Easy group used money we raised to buy them for local surgeries. This was a few years ago now but we used to pay about £70 (this may have been not including VAT), so I wouldn't expect to pay much more than this. The problem if you want to buy one now online is there is a shortage, so many companies are saying 'out of stock' and with anything online now there are delivery delays. They don't seem to be available in pharmacies, so you are looking at medical supply companies.
Amazon do them. They all seem pretty much the same. Ours was £25, but you can look at reviews etc and decide between them.
How silly of me. I had forgotten Amazon had taken over as the universal supplier. I see EBay sell them too. As Pixie says though, do check the reviews.
I only spent about 10 quid but the same one is £35 now as they cash in on people's fears. They all do the same thing but some are more accurate than others
Mine is a measurepro. The best known are innovo and nonin. Argos do a couple the 19.99 looks adequate for home use.
Do you also have a peak flow meter, Theland?

No Rowan, I have nothing.

I getting a bit paranoid.
I know I am getting worse, monitoring won't do any good, but I need to know.
Theland, would monitoring change anything? The oximeter would alarm every time you use it because they are set for normal respiratory function. Peak flow is really mostly of use in asthma but if you ask your gp by phone they might prescribe one. Ideally a set of lung function tests would tell you exactly where you are but I suspect from things you have posted they would be pretty dire.I

This is a time I would be telling a student nurse care for the patient not the numbers. Look in the mirror, at your fingertips, feel your breath is it rattlely can you breathe deeply ...
I think in COvid times these are useful things to have - oxumeters

nothing like looking 'blue' and having a sat below 90

er get the cheapest - I think I got a chinese one for around £5 - you know the post cost more than the object
arrived pretty quick.
thermometer is quite useful - not so much to diagnose COVID but on the general idea that if one is ill one runs a temp ....

This reminds me, I should have had my spirometry test about February, but forgot all about it.
Now my surgery is in lockdown.
Wonder what to do?
I'm an idiot.
Or as my wife says, an eejit.
They are still there to be contacted Theland, even if it's not safe for you to attend in person.
Should be done, may be at another practice
