I would suggest all three of you should isolate for 10-14 days.
He certainly should. Whether you should am not sure , it depend's on how close you got to him and whether you share facilities, but its advisable in my opinion. Maybe ask for test?
From the NHS Website,

"When to self-isolate

Self-isolate immediately if:

you have any symptoms of coronavirus (a high temperature, a new, continuous cough or a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste)you've tested positive for coronavirus – this means you have coronavirus
you live with someone who has symptoms or tested positivesomeone in your support bubble has symptoms or tested positivey
ou're told to self-isolate by NHS Test and Trace or the NHS COVID-19 appyou arrive in the UK from a country with a high coronavirus risk – see GOV.UK: how to self-isolate when you travel to the UK
What is a support bubble?

Information:

If you think you've been in contact with someone who has coronavirus, but you do not have symptoms and have not been told to self-isolate, continue to follow social distancing advice."

The girlfriend has to self-isolate because someone in her "bubble" is positive.

No-one in your household need isolate since the girlfriend is not positive.

A contact of a contact does NOT need to self-isolate.

This page is for employees of Sheffield City Council but the rules it cites apply to everyone anyway:
https://www.sheffield.gov.uk/hr-faq-covid19
(Scroll down to the section on 'Household members and self-isolation').

For the rules about who DOES have to self-isolate, see here:
https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/covid-19-stay-at-home-guidance/stay-at-home-guidance-for-households-with-possible-coronavirus-covid-19-infection
If she gets a test tho and is positive that may change things?
Yes I agreecwith Buenchico and Corbyloon BUT keep your 2metre distance and if any of you develop symptoms, then isolate.
// If she gets a test tho and is positive that may change things?//
then she isnt a contact
she is a positive case and the position/advice changes ( yes self isolate)
Maintain social distance with others and interact with others only in the most important cases, if you can isolate with your family - do this and wait for symptomes, Son's girlfriend can be a potential carrier of COVID and you should be careful.
surely if she came to your house she must be in your support bubble though, as that is only what's permitted isn't it?
Yes,, my guess is she shouldnt have been there bednobs. Thats how it spreads- turning a blind eye to the rules and guidance.
Regardless of whether the girlfriend should have visited or no, there is no need for others to self-isolate
even if they are in your support bubble TCL?
The girlfriend isn't positive so no-one else in the household/bubble is affected.
gotcha, thanks
Should have said she has no symptoms rather than not being positive since that would require a test.
