Gp Helped Me
51 Answers
GP rang me. Asked loads of questions.
I was honest with him.
He prescribed Mirtazipan.
So far they seem to help.
Make me a bit foggy.
Went to bed yesterday afternoon I think.
Just got up half an hour ago.
I hope this drug is the answer and I get back to normal soon.
Thank you everybody for your messages of support.
I really appreciate them. X

Mirtaz's helped me a few years ago when I was in the pits of despair and suicidal depression. One of the plus sides was been able to get a decent nights sleep (and not wanting to throw myself under a train anymore...) One of the down sides was weight gain due to them giving me carb cravings....sugar and bread in particular.
A couple of family sized bars of choclate and half a loaf of bread everyday became the norm. I read somewhere that its to do with them depleting your cells of sugar or something along them lines.
Anyway, wishing you all the best Theland,
Take care.

Just had a bad 24 hours.
Breathing so bad I was going to ring 111 or 999.
I was scared to go to bed because I was gasping like a fish out of water.
At one point my SATS dropped to 81 but then slowly steadied around 87, but dropped if I moved.
Used about 4 nebulisers and Lorazepam.
That steadied me and was able to take Mirazipam and sleep.

Sorry to read that. Did your COVID test come back? If the breathing is bad again should you consider 999. Sometimes just having someone with you for reassurance and maybe some extra oxygen might help. Let the ambulance crew help you through the worst and assess if you need further treatment. Keep on with the medication
