do you need to take identification? I have to take an elderly lady with dementia for her jab tomorrow and suddenly had a thought that I may have to search for some identification when I pick her up.
how affected is she? Is she likely to refuse to be vaccinated once she gets there even though she has agreed now? and are you going to a GP run centre or a mega centre?
No identification where I had mine done - a group of surgeries using a local Working Men's Club premises. They rang to invite me, I turned up at the allocated time, ticked off a list by a marshall organising the short queue and then I was dealt with. It might be different if you book yourself after an invitation letter and go to one of the Hubs they keep telling us about.
As she is 80 she received an invitation (or rather I did by email as her unpaid carer/contact) via her doctor's surgery, but it is being held at another surgery a few miles away. She will be happy to go if I take her but won't have a clue what its about - I will just tell her its a flu jab.
Just got home after having my AstraZeneca vaccination. Appointment was made for me by my GP surgery to go to a Medical Centre. At the door a nurse asked me to confirm my name and date of birth. Didn't ask for ID. Plus a checklist of questions - any Covid symptoms, allergies, recent vaccinations.
