If the nurse today was in Astronaut Gear giving the vaccination - I have managed to get a face to face appointment with a doctor in the same practice next week and I'm now thinking of cancelling as to what is the point I definitely won't know one word she is saying if the doctor is in Astronaut Gear too. - if she wore like the clear visor I wouldn't be too bad.
Ubasses - my next door neighbour got me one of those a few weeks ago - they were made up in her job (Civil Service) - - they don't work. I don't think people can read English anymore LOL
I sincerely hope your Doctor can read JJ, I was going to suggest you write down the reasons for your appointment in a short clear way and then if necessary and you cannot hear her,she can add her advice on your list.
thanks Mamy - maybe I should apply for a lip reader sign language interpreter, they'll hear? then if they had to pay for that outta their budget.
I am actually asking for my sister to be allowed to come so that she can answer the doctor's questions cos sister knows my problems etc. But they won't probably let her in.
My GP and nurse wear just the visors. I am sure your GP will want your appointment to be worthwhile and will make sure you can communicate. You have been wanting to see the GP for ages, you would be daft to cancel
In that case she should be prepared to make herself as clear as possible. It's a good idea of Mamya's to write down what you want to tell her. I'm sure she won't mind that.
Sure i can write down but if she garbles an answer via a mask. And i cant lipread her. i am going to walkout. Have made my mind up. why continue a one sided appnnt
