Who Sleeps With A Snorer??
44 Answers
Am really struggling now - yes I know he can’t help it, but it’s getting worse and worse, it’s absolutely deafening. How he doesn’t wake himself up I do not know! and I’m sick of having to go into the spare room for some relief. Not even sure why I’m posting this as there isn’t really an answer, just to offload really x

i can do this ie pillow over my head, but found it gave the snore a vibration the the pillow really! at times you get so mad thinking bloody hell if you could hear yourself aka conversations with yourself, then use your the heel of your foot to pound the bed with it to wake them up..then it stops...erm for a bit, you think if i can fall asleep in time, ill be fine...then it gets louder.. ENOUGH, i sleep in spare room now...for years and it's great.

i was at a comicon with some friends and i shared a room with one who snored, probably the worst ive ever heard, and after a few hours i said, 'roll over' - as thats what worked on my bf.
I didnt shout, just normal speech volume, as the idea is not to wake them up, just sort of 'rouse' them enough to turn over.
next morning she'd told everyone i SCREEEEAAAMED my head off at her ...
the general attitude of most of them was that as people cant help snoring, you have no right to wake them up to stop them, or ask them to roll over or anything.
i was so tired i almost didnt go to see Brian Blessed!
They were surprised when i said no to going the next year unless i had my own room haha.
most people eventually manage get to sleep with a snorer - i dont, i can hardly sleep even when im alone so theres no way id sleep properly, no matter how tired i was.
3 days & 2 nights of it, i felt like death on a plate.

I've learned to sleep with OH (snorer and he also stops breathing so I have to jab him in the ribs to get him going again - I do this once I have had 3 steady breaths myself). It helps that I, apparently, snore when going to sleep and then stop, but he is deaf enough not to hear me. No, there isn't an answer, wish there were.
