Yup, lots of times. Are you sure you're not feeling depressed?

no, i think thats impossible.

not that im always happy. But then even when im not happy im sad, therefore thats a feeling.

Are you saying u feel like that or is this just a general question?

isnt feeling empty a feeling??

Yes I have and I feel for you but when that happened to me I just thought sink or swim and you will swim.

Because you then think of all the things you do have to stay afloat for.

You will feel better -take it from someone who knows.

Much love xxxx

I know that 'feeling' empty is a feeling!

Just dont feel anything about anything - happy/sad/excited etc - its weird

im exactly the same have been for a long time ive been taking prozac for a while but it makes no difference i would really like to change and feel positive but How.

I've had that feeling aswell. I felt like I just didn't care anymore. I didn't feel down - just non-existant, like nothing really matters so what's the point in feeling anything?

Maybe try a change in routine? Or think of something you've always wanted to do and go out and do it. You could give yourself a challenge - like doing a scuba diving taster course in a swimming pool (only 20), or white water rafting (35) - depending on what pushes your buttons!

It definitely helps as it makes you feel you've achieved something instead of plodding along with the daily stresses of life. And if you book something now it'll give you something to look forward to. A friend of mine did a parachute jump (not something I could do!) even though she's terrified of heights - it really changed her outlook on life, she's realised that there's so much out there to do, but its up to her to take the opportunity.

Sorry to waffle on, hope you feel better soon! x

i heard that living a life that has no purpose can be a cause of depression. I hope that is not what you mean.

Thank you to everyone for posting, Its been a hectic couple of years, a lot of worry and a lot of stress culminating in a bereavement. All the panic and frustration has gone but theres nothing there in its place. I guess I am just not used to feeling nothing.
