shy girl
i've met a man who i like
i get the feeling he likes me too
we chat and flirt but we are both very shy.
He told me that he had a particular interest and I found some infor for him on it and that was my pathetic attempt at letting him know i like him
i don't feel able to directly tell him how i feel and he's obviously shy too.

Lucky for you it is the PERFECT season to invite him to things. You could ask him to go with you to a xmas gathering that you don't really want to go to on your own, and see if he would. Or you could steer the conversation to nice pubs with no meat-heads, and when you mention one that he doesn't know, say "Oh it's a great pub! You would feel really at home there- shall I show you it?" and then meet up and have a few xmas bevvies to get over your inhibitions!
You need to make it REALLY obvious that you like him, otherwise he will never have the confidence to ask you out.
If all fails you can always do the "tell your friend to tell him" trick- never fails. Also, how about sending him a xmas card, with "Christmas drink?" written in it, and maybe your phone number if he doesn't have it already. That way he will feel he is asking you out, and not the other way around.WANT to.

Speaking from the perspective of a man who's usually far too shy to actually let a girl know how I feel, i know the feeling! ;)
One of you might just eventually have to take the plunge sooner or later, ooorrrr, I'm sure people will disagree with me but do you have a friend who knows him a well. He/she might be able to teasingly say in conversation, "You know, I think that xxx likes you". Some people think that you should show confidence and just jump in and say it, but i like it if I find out from someone else that a girl has taken a liking to me. Gives me to time to pysch myself up a bit!
