Other half currently at emergency eye clinic just waiting for laser treatment having had drops in his eyes. Since yesterday evening he’s been experiencing more symptoms, rang eye clinic at 9.30 this morning, told to get himself down there, and just pinged me with what’s happening.
Also has a referral to do something about his other eye so he won’t need a prism in his specs and will be able to have varifocals.
Once again, can’t fault the NHS.

Vagus....I am a bit lost here.

The diagnosis of a partially detached retina was made on Feb 4th and operation was done via Laser on Feb 5th.

Is that correct and?
Ah! yes OH has had a laser correction of detached retina.....so what is the problem (diagnosis) now?

The retina was apparently slightly detaching again, and a very, very small piece of it has actually come off completely and is floating around. He’s only very slightly aware of this floating bit and was told it won’t affect his vision. The main problem yesterday and today has been black blobs, dozens of them, which were the cause for concern.
He saw two consultants, one of whom did the laser treatment, a lot more blasts of it than last time and more painful (he now has a headache which he was warned about).
While he was there he mentioned the problem with the other eye which he thought he’d have to go privately to get fixed. However, the consultant has referred him to someone else in the eye department to see what can be done. No rush for that.
Ah! got it.
Thanks Vagus.
