Lump On Eyelid

Shall I see a pharmacist or wait a bit. Its affecting my vision slightly but only because the lump means my eyelid doesn't want to fully open

Can’t help with the eye problem, but just thought I’d say that I always saw you as blonde. No idea why.

I am very keen on warm spooning (!) -WOODEN ( only spoon which is soaked or dipped in hot water and then held against the cyst. Because it is wooden, you can almost do boiling, but NOT metal - minue intervals, 15mins

It does look like a stye. Go and speak to a pharmacist. He’ll give you some ointment for it.

Could be a cyst - I had one occur three times in succession in my Teens, first and second time scraped off under local anaesthetic as out-patient, third time dispelled by eye drops. No problem.

P.S. Treatment may have moved on, that was in the early Sixties.

Its a Meibomium Cyst.
No need to seen the Pharmacist at this stage.
Bath it with warm water every four hours and gently massage.
Get back to us if it hasn't improved or worsened in the next 3 days.

Hi sqad as instructed, an update. Its about the same, perhaps a little bigger. I was picking up a prescription today so asked the pharmacist. She virtually recoiled in horror and told Me to make a gp appt

update for sqad:
saw gp, started fluclox and chloramphenical ointment, calling me on weds if no better im to have it excised (boke!)
it has small pustules on now too
