Did you know that Morrison's have started an initiative to end period poverty?

Good on them, but 2 pads aren't gonna go a long way!

½ a loaf is better than no bread
When I read about this a few weeks ago I understand it to mean that if you started your period whilst out you could get these from Morrisons.
Aren't they a pound a pack in Poundland.?
I'd be heading for the 99p shop in that case.
The reusable pads are amazing - you simply pop them in the washing machine.
free products available in schools..leisure centres, chemists and libraries here in Scotland I beleive ..
Asda sell sanitary and pads at 70p for 20.

Are we really meant to believe some people are so impoverished they cannot afford 70p?

I don’t believe it.
Desk..sadly that is the case for some.. if a choice has to be made buying food for a family...
Deskdiary I agree with you. They're so cheap but the choice appears to be either a new iPhone or sanitary products and the phone wins. (I'm joking - slightly).
It's illogical I know but I find the thought of putting used sanitary pads in the washing machine quite yukky. I assume they get washed on their own?
Prudie.. me too..! no thanks !
Hopefully not washed with hankies.
Dont forget its not just adults who need sanitary products. Some school age girls may not have access to them or cash to buy them.
free in schools in Scotland Chelle
How long do a pack of pads last an average period?
Say you need a pack a day so 7 x 70p is £4.90 that could be unreachable if you are on the breadline

Surely most ladies carry spare protection!?!
Sharon at my age it’s spare knickers ;0)))
My mother's and previous generations made their sanitary wear from old tags and boiled them in the boiler. So buying ready made pads and putting in washing machine shouldn't be a hardship.

And I'm with desk Diary and Boto on this!
Sanitary ware or mobiles? It's a strange world.
