Mammogram Recall Update

Thank you for those who commented on my previous post. Had the recall appointment yesterday after my very first mammogram at 51. Something "tiny" is showing on right upper breast - Consultant showed me the first xray and the one they took yesterday. Also done a thorough Ultrasound around that area and armpit, took a few syringes for Biopsy. Also inserted a tiny titanium clip for future xrays to show there is/was a problem in that area. NOW the waiting game. Back to the Hospital for results on 4th July. Asked the Radiologist/Consultant if she thought it was a cyst or something more serious. She just said whatever "it" is is very tiny and that is the reason no lump could be felt. She just said wait and see what the biopsy result is. Obviously extremely anxious.

I'm not a medical person but to me it sounds good news that it is very tiny, if it is something nasty, the sooner found, the better.

Fingers crossed it is nothing to worry about. xxx

Yes Windywillow. So glad they found it this early and said it is something "tiny". My first Mammogram was a year late due to Lockdown. But so grateful for this great NHS Service.

I know what you mean, I had a womb cancer scare (pre-covid) and a week later I was at the hospital for further investigation. God Bless our NHS.

It's good news really (if you can turn your mind around to think like that) because if there is something nasty there - they are on to it and it will be dealt with. You know that the tinier it is the best chance you have - and it will be OK, I'm sure. :) Try to be positive.
