Which Hair Products Should I Use?

I'm hoping there are some hair experts out there who can give me some ideas on which hair products I can use on my hair.

I have long, naturall poker straight dark brown hair. While my hair itself is very fine and flyaway, I have tons and tons of it so I have thick, but fine hair.

It is greasy at the roots/fringe and dryish at the ends.

I don't straighten but occasionally blow dry.

What I want to know is what products I should use to give myself lift and movement in my hair. "Fine" hair products tend to make my hair dull and my hair is so heavy I can't do without!

Any ideas?

I love John Frieda's range for brunettes, although it's not designed specifically to 'lift' hair. I have greasy roots and dry ends and my hair is fine and flyaway. I find this range really works, especially the styling cream which I put on the ends of my hair.

Have you tried Tigi Bed Head products they are absolutly brilliant bit pricey but they cater for all hair types they are not availible to buy in shops but a lot of hairdressers sell them and they are availible on internet i swear by them there are so many to choose from i cant tell you where to start. Hope this helps

My hair is quite thick and flyaway. The only way to tame your hair is to get some layers cut in. I have tried every shampoo and product and found the best remedy is to get a small amount of styling wax (any-they are all the same basically) and lightly run it through your hair. It really works for me.

I aggre with the above, finding a good hairdresser and getting lkots of good quality hair cuts. I have a totally different hair type but it is equally unmanagable. Its thick and curly left to its own devices it used to be dry and coarse and frizzy. I have spent years following this advice combined with salon products and treatments between visits and I really do have Hollywood hair. People always comment on how lovely it is whether i straighten it or leave it curly. CUT, CUT, CUT/
