Listening to The Archers today I was shocked to hear a decent couple out stealing timber in order to heat their home.

I suppose that it depends on one's definition of poverty.
It is a storyline that is very topical. It is a pity the law is broken in this way and is a sign of our times.
They'll be falling off the church roof - which is, some Jim-like physicist calaculated is 360 feet high, following the length of the screams when Nigel Parfitter fell from the roof to commit suicide.
Hope you are keeping well, Sandy
You can blame Peggy Woolley for this, she set up the trust that gave £500,000 for the rewilding ethos that has been going on for some time. If it is a toss up between poorly-paid people heating their modest home and bugs and insects losing a pile of cut branches I know which I favour.
Haven't heard The Archers for a while, but if this is the Grundys they were always up for a scam, and this sounds like it could be them.
