Although uterine fibroids can sometimes be detected on a Computerized Tomography (CT) scan, this is not considered the most accurate method. Most often, only calcified fibroids appear on CT scans. I try not to Google too much after frightening myself half to death many years ago, after becoming convinced I had womb cancer. Fortunately I didn't, but a fibroid was found.
I did try to Google my question above but couldn't find a definite answer. Perhaps I wasn't looking in the right places. We're so lucky we have helpful people here on Answerbank.
