Her indoors suffers from the above .

Her podiatrist has suggested bespoke insoles .

Off the shelf - £20

Bespoke - £250 - built abroad .
The bespoke ones would be better for her the podiatrist has told her .

However £250 seems extremely expensive .

Anyone in the know about this subject ?

Seems a very expensive pair of insoles. In 2018 my husband was prescribed a pair to ease the pain in his heel due to an in growing corn. He was sent to the Orthotic dept.at the local N.H.S .hospital. They measured his foot and assessed what kind of insoles would be best. They were ready in about a fortnight . No charge. Made by a firm called Algeo.

I know it's painful and feel for your wife.
Try off the shelf ones first, there are several good makes.
In the meantime maybe her GP can help with NHS treatment.

I've had this for almost 18 months now.
I've been given exercises from my physio and told to call back before May if things haven't improved .... it's looking odds-on that I'll be contacting him soon to see what other options are available. I've been told a steroid injection usually helps .... but that will be my last resort.
I can't honestly see how the difference in price can be justified between off-the-shelf and bespoke insoles .... just my opinion though.
You've just reminded me though, I do need to replace my insoles as they tend to lose their support after a while.
If I remember correctly, I got my last pair from Sports Direct and I think they were Slazenger ..... I shall pop in this week and have a look :)

A change of shoes would be cheaper than £250.
You can get a good sports trainer (Reebok Classic) for about £45 which have brilliant support and are very comfortable.

PF is very painful. Morning foot stretching exercise are helpful, but the condition can last for several months.

I suffer from this and bought insoles with arch support from Amazon. Work well and cost under £10. Worth a try first

Giz, I had the steroid jab. Very painful for a nanosecond but it worked quickly. Maybe 20 years ago and I've had no trouble since.

I bought cheap online insoles and they certainly helped. I also bought some trainers with a padded foot, and although not quite as good as the insoles they do help.
